About Naruto, the Character

Uzumaki Naruto is the main protagonist of the anime series called Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto, a renowned Mangaka (Japanese for Comic Artist). Naruto is shown to have blue eyes and blond spiky hair. In part 1, he wears a loud orange jacket and some equally loud orange trousers, blue ninja sandals, and a blue hitai-ate or a forehead protector bearing the symbol of the hidden leaf. The insignia he bears is at of a whirlpool. In part 2, Naruto’s outfit is basically the same, consisting of trousers and a jacket, but this time its colors are black and orange.

Naruto’s Story

During the date of Naruto’s birth, October 10, the nine-tailed demon fox was ravaging Konohakagure, otherwise known as the village of the hidden leaf. The fourth Hokage, who was the leader and defender of the village, gave his life to seal the demon fox inside Naruto’s body. His dying wish was that the village would treat the boy as a hero for having to carry the burden of the fox. However, the people of Konoha did not heed the Yondaime’s request, instead treating Naruto with disdain and scorn. Their hatred was carried over to the younger generation, so practically the whole village hated him for no reason. Naruto did not understand this hatred, however, and was bewildered at why the adults hated him and why
his peers did not want to play with him. It was only when he was 12 years old that the reason why the people hated him was revealed to him. However, this knowledge did not lead him to hate the villagers and their misplaced odium. Instead, it only made Naruto more determined to gain the recognition of the villagers by becoming a Hokage himself.

Naruto’s Personality

At the start of the series in Naruto Episode, Naruto is depicted as a troublemaker. He was always doing lude jutsus or ‘ninja skills’ like the ‘Oiroke no Jutsu’ which allowed him to transform into a naked female version of himself, effectively stunning his superiors including his teacher, Iruka, and the third Hokage, who resumed his post when the fourth died. He also gets the lowest marks in the Ninja Academy, making him a subject of his classmates’ mockery. He is rude and crass and incredibly loud. He laughs easily and is almost always smiling. However, this is only a façade. Deep inside, Naruto harbors deep feelings, hiding the ill ones behind his smiles and laughs so that nobody will have to worry about him or
see his vulnerability. Naruto is also hardworking and persevering. He never gives up, no matter how
impossible his goal may seem. And most of the time, he succeeds, if only through determination, sheer strength (sometimes lent to him by the demon fox) and his incredible luck.

Naruto’s as a character

Beyond luck, his preserverance has really made Naruto the main character in Naruto as one of the best characters to look at. Along with his guts, this side of Naruto’s character is definitely something the author stress in a great length on an effort to depict its need in today’s society.

What Does the Word Naruto Mean?

As enthusiast of the animation Naruto, we’ve all heard about the word naruto, but do you know what Naruto truly means? The word Naruto is actually from a type of Japanese fish cake. The specific fish cake that Naruto is with is often seen with pink surroundings and designs that is seen as a simple spiral form.

Believe it or not, it is often eaten alongside with soups and noodles. Yes, this will include the ramen that Naruto from the animation that he enjoys. If you examine the fishcake carefully, you would also notice that the head protector that Naruto wears looks very much the same as the food Naruto itself. So Kanoha is really revolving around the food Naruto and it’s kinda interesting to see that these little facts actually ties in together to the centric part of the storyline somewhat.

Besides Naruto being a traditional Japanese dish as fish cakes, Naruto is also an actual city in Japan located in Tokushima a bit leaning towards the southern part of Japan. The city itself is quite small with a population of only 63,784 currently shown on their city’s official website. The city of Naruto was founded in the March of 1947 so the city itself is still relatively new. One of the most interesting facts about the city is that it contains the first two of the 88 Shikoku Pilgrimage buddhist temples. Now what makes this fact stands out is the looks of the people from the temple and what they wear.

Yes, those traditional Buddhist clothings that pilgrims wear are closely resembled to the ones that the Hokage’s in Naruto animation wear starting from how they dress all the way to their hats. So the next time t you watch Naruto episodes again, you’ll know exactly where it’s origin as well as where little things ties up together.

Great Gift Ideas For The Anime Fan

Author: Charles Lawrence

Whether you need a gift for Christmas, a birthday or other occasion, anime fans can be hard to buy for, especially if you know little about the world known as “anime”. First, let me explain a little about anime. Anime is a type of animation that started in Japan. Basically, you can call it a Japanese version of cartoons. However, anime has some big differences. Where American animation tends to be geared primarily towards children, there are actually many types of anime, geared for many ages and interests. For instance, there are anime series targeted squarely at young boys, young girls, young women and so on. There are also adult anime series, with more adult themes and content. There are also many different thematic styles of anime, including those centered around robots (called mecha), romantic anime, fighting anime and so on.

In order for you to choose a fantastic gift for the anime fan in your life, you first need an idea of what anime series or at least what kind of anime series they enjoy. Find out by perusing their DVD collection or checking what they watch on TV. Once you know the series they like, here are some suggestions for surefire gifts for anime fans:

Manga

Manga is simply the Japanese version of comic books or graphic novels. Many anime series are based on a manga series. Any anime fan would love the original manga their favorite anime is based on. For original Japanese manga, you can usually find some on eBay and at Japanese importers like JustManga and Manga.com. For the most popular anime series, like Inuyasha, you can find English translated manga books at many major bookstores. Read the rest of this entry »

World land mass calculator is it doable ?

March 10th, 2007

Question from John

I know there is a world population clock somewhere but the numbers are hard to relate to. How would someone create a useable land mass calculator which would take a constant number representing the earths useable land mass(land available for farming, cities etc which would exclude mountain ranges, swamps etc.) and divide that number by the number on the population clock to come up with a shrinking available land mass per person number in square meters for example.

My answer

You have right there is a world population clock, but it calculates the population based on mathematic formulas and statistics and not on the real data. To produce such a system you need first a system to collect data and this is not so easy. You can collect data with two ways. 1st with satellites but satellites will take years to scan all the world and refresh their data continually. So it’s not impossible to make this system to calculate land but it’s refresh times will be great. This means that it won’t be so usefull. The second way is to make such a programm on each country so the country will be responsible to send data in the central mainframe with all that information needed. But again there are countries that aren’t so organized and haven’t the means to do this. I mean there are other problems that bother countries right now.
But If you don’t need so accurate data then you can use google maps api to make such a utility. If you have to do it for your school/uni/phD then I think it’s a great opportunity to challenge yourself.

If you have questions too don’t hesitate to ask me.
